I think we can all agree that cancer has touched all of our lives in some way. Although I participated in Pedal the Cause last year, this year is more special to me personally. My stepdad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer earlier this year and is in the thick of treatment. When you hear those three heartbreaking words of "I have cancer" from someone you love, it changes your perspective. I am so thankful for the treatment he is going through, and for the doctors that caught it early. I am riding this year not only for Bill, but also for those who have fought or are currently fighting cancer.
I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.
