I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.
Our Teal on Wheels team is a team of physicians and advocates affiliated with GYN Oncology. As an OB/GYN physician, I care for women impacted by cancer every day and diagnose cancer regularly. I pedal for the women I care for at different timepoints in their life journey. I also pedal for my mother, Mary Escarraz, my 2 family members who have undergone successful stem cell transplants, my father in law Chuck Willers and cousin Carlye Lehnen, and in memory of Kera Buchanan. My thighs will be burning, but I know you've all been through so much more.
