It takes world-class research to create a world without cancer. I am proud to join Pedal the Cause for the 10th year to raise money for life-saving research. I ride to help find a cure.
I ride for all of those who have faced or will face a life-changing cancer diagnosis. I ride for an aunt, a cousin, a childhood best friend and a bonus father figure who have lost their battle with cancer, for 2 aunts who are currently fighting and for the ones, who against the odds, can be called survivors. I also ride for those who love them.
First and foremost, I ride for (and with) my best friend, who just happens to be my mom, the strongest woman I know. In February of 2013 she was diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer. She is doing great more than 10 years later because of the miraculous treatments and medicines she received, and I will ride by her side on the 22nd. We are hopeful for the future but aware the journey may not be over and that there is no cure. More research needs to be done, and research is expensive. Please help me in this journey by donating to my ride and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will go directly to accelerating cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital. Every dollar that you give not only stays in St. Louis, but 100% goes to important life-saving research. No donation is too small, and every donation is truly appreciated.
I pray these funds help with the work to find the breakthroughs in cancer research that we all need. I’m sure every person reading this has been touched in some way by cancer, and we need to continue to search for cures and better treatments. You can help. You can make a difference.
