Pedal the Cause

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.  This year I jumped into the action for two reasons:  Frist, the UBD cycling family (who has graciously allowed this turtle rider to join them) lost Troy Guzman (#GUZ STRONG).  Troy was an inspiration to all who knew him; a founding member of the UBD Cycle team and a beloved member of the Architecture, Interiors and Design community in St. Louis.  The other reason is that Troy was family for my sister, she loved him dearly and she loved her and I couldn't help but adore him for what a good friend he was for Amy.  That was my initial reason for joining the cause, but the second reason is that someone very near and dear to my heart has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  They've ask for privacy while they are undergoing treatment and  fighting the good fit so they can ring the bell.  I'm riding in honor of them this year.
