Pedal the Cause

Oh boy.... where to begin....  I have been participating in this event since 2013.  This is my 11th year!  I am excited to be back at home again in St. Louis after riding remotely for the last 3 years.  I started doing this because it was a company event that I wanted to be a part of.  I never realized the overall impact this disease would have in my life over the next 11 years.  I am proud to take part in such a great event and support an organization like Sitemen Cancer Center.  They truly provide exceptional care to those suffering.     

This year I will be riding for my Dad.  My father was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in July of 2023.  Never did I ever think that my efforts towards PTC would ever hit so close to home.  My Dad has been my inspiration, my life leader, my teacher, my coach.  He has taught me everything I need to know on how to be a good human.  Hearing his diagnosis was a giant gut punch.  However, if you know my Dad, you know that he is the type to get himself informed and figure out how to take things head on.  He has become an expert on his condition and the research, trials, and breakthroughs that are out there thanks to Siteman.  Although his prognosis is not great, I am grateful for every additional day that I get to spend with him.  Please consider supporting this organization to provide life saving cancer research and helping people like my Dad fight the fight!
