Pedal the Cause

This year I am honoring 4 important people in my life.  First of all my husband Paul, who at the time of this writing is still on his cancer journey but unfortunately the cancer  is winning the battle.  I ride first of all for his courage and extremely positive attitude towards his fight as well as the grace to accept his own defeat. We have had many good months of talking and laughing and reminiscing about our years together.  We have been so fortunate to have this time to say our final good byes.  I also ride for my dear friend Diane who is battling this nasty disease and has battled with it for over 30 years!!   She is a real fighter who is facing her battle with optimism, courage and determination  She is definitely an inspiration to everyone who knows her.   My two next hero’s were diagnosed this year.  One with a new diagnosis and the other with her second battle.   Sheila and Pat are two more strong and courageous women who are facing their cancer with optimism and strength.   Both of them will win their battle and come out a Survivor. For these woman, I am thankful.   

Many of  who know me, know how important cancer research is and how cancer has touched my life in many ways.  I think of those we lost and pray for their peace.   And look to those who have won or who are still fighting as warriors!!   And know that many of the treatments these people are receiving are because of all of the research being done to fight this dreaded disease.   

So if you are able, please donate what you can and help me raise more than I have raised in previous years.   I thank all of you for your support of Paul, me and my family, and for all of the support you provide to those you love fighting cancer.   Let’s do this and kick Cancer’s ass!!!!
