My wife Kathy has had a recurrence of thymus cancer. In 2019 she was diagnosed and treated for this rare form of cancer at Siteman. We both thought that the care she received from the physicians, nurses, and staff was exceptional. We are especially grateful for the ongoing advice and assistance we have received from Dr. Nancy Bartlett, the remarkably skillful surgery performed by Dr. Alex Patterson, and the follow-up proton radiation guided by Dr. Shahead Badiyan. Kathy is currently under the care of oncologist Dr. Salama Waqar, an empathetic and knowledgeable physician.
My ride is dedicated, first of all, to my lovely wife Kathy, but also in thanksgiving for all of the dedicated and compassionate caregivers at Siteman. They made a difference for our family as they have, and will continue to do, for many other families.
Also, a special thanks for the prayers and support we received from family and friends during this difficult time. We feel the love, and it makes a big difference.
