I am proud to join Pedal the Cause for the first time in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.
I am dedicating my ride this year to the memory of my wonderful sister-in-law Erika Alvarez who passed away from cancer nearly 6 years ago. In addition, I am a biomedical researcher and a cancer survivor who benefited from receiving exceptional care at WashU/BarnesJewish and the Siteman Cancer Center.
