Too many lives have been cut short by cancer. My grandma passed away in 2010 from complications with cancer and arthritis. Two of my wife's uncles, Jim and Ed, also passed away far too soon from cancer. Another one of my wife's uncles, Bill, beat cancer and rides every year in this event to raise money for local cancer research.
This year I helped found a PTC team with Thrivent, my financial advisory firm. Thrivent is a great firm that believes in giving back to the community, and they do so every year. I am blessed to work for such a great company.
I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.
