In honor of Joseph Paniucki

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause makes a difference. Pedal the cause gives our loved one's the tools and courage to fight cancer.

This year we ride in honor of Joseph Paniucki.  Joe and I have been friends about 45 years.  He works as a carpenter keeping him in good health.  In his late 50s Joe still plays amateur hockey.  One night during a pickup game he was hit hard enough it injured his back.  Over time the pain intensified landing Joe in the doctors office.  The diagnosis was like getting hit with a bat.   Joe was diagnosed with non-hodgkin lymphoma.   Thats where Joes courage and kicked in.  He is being treated at Siteman.  When Joe and I speak the conversations are usually not about how depressed or bad he feels.  We end up talking about how the staff at Siteman make him feel so good.  Joe knows they are there for him.  He knows they want to help him fight, to cure him.   Joe wont be able to ride this year but his attitude can only encourage us that can.

This year I ride for Joe and all cancer fighters.

Please support my efforts by donating to my fundraiser, and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will fund lifesaving cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
