27 years ago there was a day in February that changed the course of my life. It was the day I went to the hospital and left a week later with a cancer diagnosis. I had a teratoma tumor that encased my right ovary. When I got to the emergency room the tumor was the size of a small basketball. I was 13 and weighed a whopping 96 pounds..it went unnoticed until the pain was unbearable. A team of doctors 🙏 saved my life and after immediate exploratory surgery & chemo treatments I have been cancer free ever since. I am blessed to have 2 beautiful children that I was told at the age of 13 I would NEVER be able to conceive. Praise God 🙌🙌 I have watched dear family & friends fight cancer, some survived some devastatingly did not. That 13 year old girl in 8th grade fought hard for this life and I want to help eradicate this horrible disease! I have friends suffering and fighting cancer as I type this. Every morning we wake is a blessing. Be kind, be grateful, be the light others need to see. 💜💫🙏
