THIS YEAR -- I am riding in honor of Adam, our son Jack's friend who also plays on my basketball team- who was just diagnosed with an aggressive type of Leukemia, as well as my cousin Susan who is battling lung cancer. I also ride in honor of my friend Lukas who has fought leukemia 3 times, and deals with daily challenges from graft vs host disease as a result of the treatment.
I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.
