I am a cancer survivor - 16 years! My son, Derek is a cancer survivor 21 years! I was treated at Siteman Cancer and Derek was treated at Children's Hospital. Thank God for the research that went into our treatments and the Doctors who treated us.
The good news is the money Pedal is raising for Cancer Research is saving life's. Every year at the Pedal event, I get to meet cancer survivors who are here today because of the research we are funding for the research scientists to come up with cures.
Unfortunately, cancer is still taking lives!!! This year I am riding in honor of Madeline Boese who fought an incredible fight and inspired so many of us. So I am riding this year for Madeline and and have committed to raising $2500.00 to fund research that will someday create a world without cancer.
