I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.
I've been riding Pedal the Cause every year since 2016. As a child, I can recall being at Relay for Life events and walking around the track all night, enjoying the festivities. This event raised money for the American Cancer Society nationally. While I was in high school, my mom was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. I watched my mom fight this cancer, and the spread of it for the next five years. At the young age of 21, I lost my mom to cancer. From that point forward, I have made it a priority in my life to do everything I can do to help find a cure or cures for cancer. While I was in college, I became a member of the advisory council for Relay for Life.
After I graduated college, I started working full-time for Alberici and was quickly introduced to Alberici's cycling team and to Pedal the Cause. My first year, I completed the 50 mile route. Since then, I have completed the century ride every year. This year, I became team captain for Alberici, and I am looking to step up my fundraising efforts to help find a cure for cancer.
Outside of Pedal the Cause, I spent 2 years on the Barnes-Jewish and Children's Hospital Campus building Phase 1 project building the new tower of Siteman Cancer Center and Children's Hospitals. I actually met my wife on this project, and we now live within eyesight of it. I feel that this is one of the best cancer centers in the country, and I am happy to help fund their research.
I appreciate you looking at my fundraising page; I would ask you to please give with confidence, knowing that 100% of your donation will fund lifesaving cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
